That's Incredible!

Here are three reasons why I watch Pixar's "The Incredibles" again and again:

Brad Bird's script is the bomb. The story is about superheroes who are forced to lead ordinary lives, and how Mr. Incredible struggle to survive as Bob Parr, his alter-ego, as an essay writer and temporary lecturer. To put it in another way, the film is an illustration of how can we keep ourselves from mediocrity. The fact that the screenplay is nominated for an Oscar is proof that the members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have good taste.

Edna Mode. There's no need for introduction for this diminutive figure, the fashion designer for the superheroes. Imagine a person who doesn't know the word NO...you'll get what I mean when you see the film.

A sympathetic villain. Syndrome, voiced by Jason Lee, isn't a loathsome character. On the contrary, he's someone who needs a hug and encouragement because when he's a young boy (Buddy Pine), Mr. Incredible rejects him. A short stint at the paper writing service brought disillusionment, so he resolved to match Mr. Incredible's powers. In case you meet the likes of Syndrome, smile and extend your arms for an embrace.
